Ground-based Midcourse Defense
Dec. 3, 1999 -- An inert rocket motor is inserted into the outer shell of the stage 2 rocket motor assembly at the Boeing Ground-based Midcourse Defense Integration, Assembly, Test and Checkout facility, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., near Huntsville, Ala. Procedures for receipt, unloading and assembly were validated in preparation for integration with an engineering model inert missile.
