Aeroflot Takes Delivery of its First Boeing 737-400

SEATTLE, May 05, 1998 -- In its stunning new livery, Aeroflot Russian International Airlines first 737-400 takes off from Boeing field in Seattle. This 737-400 is the first of 10 Boeing airplanes ordered by the airline. All of the airplanes are scheduled to be delivered to Aeroflot by February, 1999. This is the first Boeing airplane purchased by Aeroflot, although the airline has been operating leased 767-300ERs since 1994. Aeroflot's 737-400 will seat 131 passengers in a two-class configuration. The airplane is scheduled to fly on European routes.
